SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS
WHAT A PAIR, FOR COLOR-TREATED HAIR!

Shampoos and conditioners really can work together to help protect haircolor from fading. Many are created especially for that reason, while they can cleanse and condition. Conditioners for color-treated hair lock in color pigments while special ingredients surround the hair shaft leaving it shinier and stronger.

Traveling Somewhere Humid?
PROTECT YOUR HAIR WHILE VACATIONING IN HOT CLIMATES
Just like in the summer months, when you're feet tend to swell in those cool strappy sandals, the same happens to your hair -minus the sandals of course! But, your hair does get bigger, fluffier and frizzier from the moisture-filled air. You know what we're talking about. Ask your stylist to recommend a conditioning treatment before you go away. Depending on your hair type, she may recommend a lite or deep conditioning treatment that will help seal the cuticle, reduce split ends, and prevent moisture from getting in. Curly, fine and frizzy hair will all benefit from a leave-in conditioner (made especially for your hair type, check product label). Don't forget to pack a styling and finishing product with a UV filter, especially if your hair is color treated. This will reduce sun damage to your hair.

WHILE ON VACATION, WATCH OUT FOR...
You're in all your glory on vacation right? But your hair may not be. Vacation hair reacts to its new environment whether you're sipping that piƱa colada in the heat or swooshing down a mountain in the cold. It's called nature and boy can it be cruel. There's salt water, chlorine, sand, wind and of course... the Sun. If your hair is color-treated, salt water and sun together, makes color fade fast. Use a leave-in conditioner, with UV protection, and/or a sun protection styling or finishing product on hair. Each day, wash salt out. To protect against chlorine, wet hair under shower before heading out to the pool and coat with a leave-in UV conditioner. This acts as a barrier against both chlorine and the sun's harsh rays. The Sun's damaging UV rays break down hair's protein structure.

KNOW THE RULES FOR CHLORINE AND COLOR,
EITHER SINK OR SWIM.

Oil and water don't mix and neither does bleached blonde hair and chlorine. The chlorinated water in pools can turn blonde-colored hair greenish - not a pretty sight to say the least. So what can you do to swim carefree? Purchase products that protect hair from chlorine and before heading out to the pool, wet hair under shower and coat with a special leave-in UV conditioner. This acts as a barrier against both chlorine and the sun's harsh rays. Be sure to rinse hair out in clean water immediately after swimming. Use a shampoo especially formulated to remove chlorine from your hair and check with your stylist about special in-salon services to maintain the health of your hair.
