Hex Tanning
International Tanning
Autrial Gold Body Drench Swedish Beauty St Tropez Tanning booth

The main goals of tanning is having beautiful bronzed skin, making you look absolutely terrific!

A very important rule when tanning indoor and outdoors is to NEVER BURN. A tan is the body's natural protection against sunburn. Moderate tanning for individuals who can develop a tan, is the best way to maximize the benefits of tanning while minimizing the risks associated with too much sunlight. Indoor tanning gives tanners exposure control not possible with tanning outdoors. Providing you with reduced risk of getting a harmful sunburn. Moderation is the key so take a break every now and then.

Tanning booth

The time it takes to develop a tan depends on your skin type, current skin color and the lotions you use. The average person can develop a base tan in 10-15 sessions. On your first visit you should start off with just a few minutes and gradually work up to a full 15-minute session. It is very important not to overexpose your skin to tanning! Plan on 30 - 45 days to build a tan, that's about a session every 3 days.

You can wear what ever you want when tanning. It's your choice. Some tanners wear under garments, swimsuits, or nothing at all. Always remember that areas of skin that are normally covered will be more sensitive to the tanning. Allow more time for these areas to build up a tan before giving them full exposure.

Recommended Exposure Schedule:
Skin types

  • I - Sensitive skin: burns easily, severely and does not tan, should not tan.
  • II - Light skin: burns easily, severely and tans minimally.
  • III - Normal skin: burns moderately and tans lightly.
  • IV - light brown skin: burns minimally and tans easily.
  • V - Dark skin: hardly burns and tans easily.

Tanning sessions should be limited to once every 48 hours. An appearance of tanning normally appears after a few exposures and maximizes after four (4) weeks of exposure when you follow the the recommended schedule for your skin type.

It is very IMPORTANT to always wear goggles. Any strong light like from sunlight or tanning units can damage your eyes, possibly permanently. Your eyelids are very thin and UV can penetrate them. So always wear eye protection. You can always use an eye safe self-tanner's lotion if you need to blend in your tan.

Too much exposure to sun or tanning units can cause skin damage, premature skin aging and wrinkling. To reduce this effects use a high quality tanning lotion. There are two highly beneficial products you can use to get the most out of tanning. One product can be used before and the other for after you tan. The first product is a skin smoothing exfoliant; this will refine and renew your skin to create a longer lasting tan. The second is a body moisturizer with L-Tyrosine; this will help you achieve your maximum tanning potential and a longer lasting tan. Use daily to replenish lost moisture.

Before tanning remove contact lenses. DO NOT tan if you are under 18, Pregnant, do not understand the risks or do not know the proper operation of the tanning booth.

Medications (antibiotics, birth control, blood pressure, tranquilizers), allergies, diseases, cosmetics and lotions lower your resistance against photosensitive diseases. If you notice any of the following on your body: small red or discolored patches, rashes or uneven pigmentation with itching, stop tanning and check with your doctor.
